First Impressions
The AC180 is Bluetti's answer to the EcoFlow Delta 2 and Jackery Explorer 1000 Plus — and it's a compelling one. At 1,152Wh with 1,800W output (2,700W surge), it sits right in the sweet spot for home backup and RV use. It's heavier than the Delta 2 (38 lbs vs 27 lbs) but offers 128Wh more capacity and a much better app experience than Bluetti's older models. The AC180 charges in 1.5-2 hours, has 4 AC outlets, and includes Bluetooth app control that actually works.
⚡ 1,800W Output
2,700W surge — runs fridges and power tools.
🔋 1,152Wh LiFePO4
3,500+ cycles — lasts over a decade.
📱 Bluetooth App Control
Monitor and control from your phone.
🔌 4 AC Outlets
More than most competitors in this class.
⏱️ 1.5-Hour Fast Charge
Much faster than older Bluetti models.
💰 Best Value
Excellent price-per-wh ratio.
What We Love
- 1,152Wh LiFePO4 — 3,500+ cycle lifespan
- 1,800W output (2,700W surge) — runs refrigerators, microwaves, power tools
- 4 AC outlets — rare in this size class
- 1.5-hour AC charge (0-80%) — huge upgrade over EB70S
- 500W solar input — decent for this tier
- Bluetooth app control — monitor battery, adjust settings remotely
- Pass-through charging — use while recharging
- Quiet operation — around 40dB under load
- Excellent value — often on sale for under $800
- 5-year warranty
The Trade-offs
- 38 lbs — heavier than EcoFlow Delta 2 (27 lbs)
- No expansion capability (not expandable)
- Fans get loud at full output (around 48dB)
- No 240V split-phase
- Solar input limited to 500W (Jackery 1000 Plus does 800W)
- App is functional but not as polished as Jackery's
Real-World Usage Notes
The AC180 fixes the biggest complaint about the EB70S: slow charging. The AC180 charges from 0-80% in 1.5 hours and fully charges in 2 hours — on par with the EcoFlow Delta 2 and much faster than the EB70S's 4-5 hour slog.
The 38 lb weight is noticeable. It's manageable for one person, but you won't want to carry it far. For RV use or home backup where it sits in one place, that's fine. For camping where you're moving it around, the Delta 2's 27 lbs is noticeably easier.
The app works, but it's not as polished as Jackery's. Setup took a few minutes, and we had one disconnect that required re-pairing. Once connected, monitoring and control worked fine.
Hidden Feature: UPS Mode
The AC180 supports UPS mode with a 20ms switchover. Bluetti doesn't certify it for sensitive electronics, but in testing, it worked fine for routers, computers, and CPAP machines. For truly sensitive gear, stick with the EcoFlow Delta Pro 3's 10ms certified UPS.

Not Expandable
The AC180 does not support expansion batteries. If you need more than 1.1kWh, look at the Bluetti AC200L (2,048Wh, expandable) or EcoFlow Delta 2 Max (2,048Wh, expandable).
AC Fast Charging
The AC180 pulls up to 1,200W from a wall outlet, hitting 0-80% in 1.5 hours and a full charge in 2 hours. That's competitive with the EcoFlow Delta 2 (1,200W) and much faster than the EB70S's 200W crawl.
Solar Charging — Adequate
With 500W max solar input, the AC180 recharges fully in about 3-4 hours of peak sun with a 500W array. That's decent, but the Jackery Explorer 1000 Plus accepts 800W solar input — a significant advantage for off-grid users.
Car and USB-C Charging
Use the included car charging cable to recharge from your vehicle's 12V port (about 6-8 hours for a full charge). You can also charge via USB-C (100W input), though that takes around 10-12 hours.
What 1,800W (and 2,700W Surge) Gets You
The AC180 delivers 1,800W continuous output with a 2,700W surge rating. Here's what that means in practice:
- ✅ Full-size refrigerator (600-800W startup)
- ✅ Chest freezer (800-1,200W startup)
- ✅ Microwave oven (1,200-1,500W)
- ✅ CPAP with humidifier (60-100W) — 11-19 hours runtime
- ✅ Coffee maker (800-1,200W)
- ✅ 55" LED TV (100-150W) — 7-11 hours
- ✅ Space heater (1,500W) — 45-60 minutes runtime
- ✅ Circular saw (1,200-1,800W)
- ⚠️ Window AC (1,500-2,000W — check startup surge)
- ❌ Well pump — needs 2,500W+ startup
Real-World Home Backup Performance
In a simulated 8-hour outage, the AC180 ran a refrigerator (150W running), CPAP (50W), router (10W), and LED lights (30W). Total runtime: 11.5 hours on a single charge. That's excellent for a 1.1kWh unit.
⚠️ Fan Noise at High Output
Above 1,000W output, the AC180's fans spin up to around 48dB. That's noticeable in a quiet room — about the volume of a refrigerator running. In a garage or during a power outage, you won't care. In a bedroom, you might.
🏠 Small Home Backup
Keeps your fridge, CPAP, router, and lights running for 10-12 hours.
🚐 Weekend RVers & Vanlifers
Powerful enough for a microwave and fridge, but 38 lbs is heavy for frequent moving.
🔋 First-Time Buyers
Excellent entry point to mid-range LFP power stations — great value.
🎥 Remote Work / Creatives
Runs a laptop, monitor, camera chargers, and Starlink for days.
💰 Value Seekers
One of the best price-per-wh ratios in its class.
🔌 Multi-Device Users
4 AC outlets means you can plug in everything without a power strip.
Who Should Look Elsewhere
If you need more than 1.1kWh or expandability, look at the Bluetti AC200L or EcoFlow Delta 2 Max. If portability is critical (under 30 lbs), the EcoFlow Delta 2 is 11 lbs lighter. If you need the fastest possible solar input, the Jackery Explorer 1000 Plus offers 800W solar input.
What Bluetti Got Right
The AC180 is one of the best values in mid-range portable power. 1,800W output, 1,152Wh capacity, 4 AC outlets, and 1.5-hour fast charging at a competitive price. The app adds modern convenience that the EB70S lacks.
What Still Needs Work
The lack of expandability is the biggest drawback — once you buy the AC180, that's all the capacity you'll ever have. At 38 lbs, it's heavier than the Delta 2. And the fan noise at high output is noticeable.
The Verdict
For home backup, RV use, and anyone who wants a powerful, well-rounded mid-range station without breaking the bank, the Bluetti AC180 is an excellent choice. It's not expandable, and it's not the lightest — but for the price, features, and performance, it's hard to beat.
