EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus:
The Speed Demon
1kWh Power Station
1,024Wh LiFePO4, 1,800W output (2,700W surge), 1-hour AC charging, and X-Boost technology — but does the fan noise ruin the magic?

First Impressions
The Delta 3 Plus is EcoFlow's answer to the crowded 1kWh class, competing directly with the Jackery 1000 Plus, Bluetti AC180, and Anker C1000. EcoFlow's edge? X-Stream charging — 1,000W AC input gets you from 0% to 80% in under an hour. That's genuinely impressive for a 1,024Wh unit.
⚡ 1-Hour AC Charging
0-100% in ~70 minutes — class-leading speed
🔋 3,000 Cycle LFP
LiFePO4 lasts a decade of weekly use
☀️ 400W Solar Input
Full recharge in 4-5 hours of peak sun
💨 2x 100W USB-C
Fast-charge laptops and tablets simultaneously
🔇 45-50dB Under Load
Noticeably louder than competitors
⚠️ No Certified UPS
30ms switchover — not for sensitive electronics
What We Love
- Insanely fast 1-hour AC charging (80% in 48 min)
- 3,000-cycle LiFePO4 battery — safe and durable
- 2x 100W USB-C with PPS fast charging
- X-Boost runs 2,700W resistive loads
- Solid handle integration — decent carry design
- Excellent EcoFlow app with real-time data
- Quiet during low-power use (under 300W)
The Trade-offs
- Fan noise is intrusive above 1,000W (45-50dB)
- X-Boost not pure sine wave — distorts waveform
- No certified UPS — 30ms switch too slow for PCs/CPAP
- Heavy for its class at ~27 lbs
- No built-in LED light (River series has it)
- App can be buggy after firmware updates
- X-Boost fails on some motor-driven devices
Real-World Usage Notes
The Delta 3 Plus ran our test setup — a 150W fridge, 100W TV, CPAP, and lights — for about 10 hours. With X-Boost enabled, it handled a 1,500W space heater, though the fans screamed the entire time.
The biggest surprise was the noise. Under load above 1,000W, the Delta 3 Plus hits 45-50dB — louder than a typical refrigerator hum. If you're camping or using this in a bedroom, that fan noise will get annoying fast. Anker's C1000 is noticeably quieter.
⚠️ X-Boost ≠ Pure Sine Wave
X-Boost lets you run devices up to 2,700W, but it distorts the sine wave. Resistive loads (heaters, kettles, incandescent lights) work fine. But compressors, fridge motors, and sensitive electronics may fail or buzz. For those, disable X-Boost and stay under 1,800W.
What No One Tells You
The advertised "UPS mode" has a 30ms switchover time. That's fine for LED lights and simple electronics, but it's not certified for CPAP machines, gaming PCs, or medical devices. For true UPS functionality, you need a dedicated UPS or a unit with sub-10ms switching (like some Anker models).
Also, the Delta 3 Plus has no expansion capability. What you buy is what you get. If you think you'll need more than 1kWh later, look at the Delta 2 Max or Delta Pro series.

No Expansion — Important Note
Unlike the Delta 2 Max or Delta Pro series, the Delta 3 Plus cannot be expanded with extra batteries. If you need more than 1kWh, look at the EcoFlow Delta 2 Max (2kWh) or the Delta Pro 3 (3.6kWh).
AC Fast Charging — Class-Leading
The Delta 3 Plus pulls up to 1,000W from a wall outlet, hitting 80% in 48 minutes and a full charge in ~70 minutes. That's significantly faster than the Jackery 1000 Plus (1.6 hours), Bluetti AC180 (1.8 hours), and Anker C1000 (1.2 hours).
Solar Charging — Adequate
With 400W max solar input, the Delta 3 Plus recharges fully in about 4-5 hours of peak sun with a 400W array. That's middle-of-the-pack — the Anker C1000 accepts 600W solar input.
The Fan Noise Trade-Off
The cooling fan is loud during AC charging — 40-45dB. If you're charging indoors overnight, it'll disturb light sleepers. And using both AC charging + DC output at the same time triggers thermal throttling on hot days (above 85°F).
Car Charging
Use the included car charging cable to recharge from your vehicle's 12V port (about 8-10 hours for a full charge). Not fast, but fine for road trips.
What 1,800W (and 2,700W X-Boost) Gets You
The Delta 3 Plus delivers 1,800W continuous output with a 2,700W surge rating using X-Boost. Here's what that means in practice:
- ✅ Refrigerator + freezer + lights + CPAP simultaneously
- ✅ Microwave (1,200W) + refrigerator + phone charging
- ✅ Space heater (1,500W) — runs, but fans get loud
- ✅ Power tools — circular saw, miter saw, compressor
- ⚠️ Fridge compressor startup (X-Boost may struggle)
- ❌ Window AC unit (some fail to start on X-Boost)
- ❌ Sensitive medical equipment (dirty power risk)
Real-World Runtime Testing
In a simulated outage, the Delta 3 Plus ran a refrigerator (150W running), 55" TV (100W), LED lights (40W), and a CPAP (50W) for 11.5 hours on a single charge. That's solid for a 1kWh unit.
⚠️ Dirty Power Warning — X-Boost Mode
When X-Boost is active, total harmonic distortion (THD) rises above 5%. Some sensitive electronics (audio equipment, laser printers, some CPAP machines) may buzz, malfunction, or refuse to run. For clean sine wave, disable X-Boost and stay under 1,800W.
🔇 Fan Noise Reality
Below 300W, the Delta 3 Plus is whisper-quiet (around 25dB). But once you cross 1,000W, the fan ramps up to 45-50dB — louder than a typical conversation. If you're camping or using this in a bedroom, that noise gets old fast.
🚐 Van Lifers & RV Owners
Fast charging is a game-changer when you're limited on generator time or shore power access. Recharge during a lunch stop.
🏕️ Weekend Campers
Plenty of power for lights, phones, a fridge, and CPAP for 2-3 nights.
🔧 Job Sites & Tailgating
Fast recharge between jobs. Runs power tools and tailgate TVs with ease.
⚡ Short Outage Backup
Perfect for 4-12 hour outages — keeps fridge, internet, and devices running.
❌ Light Sleepers
The fan noise under load will bother you. Look at Anker C1000 (quieter).
❌ PC Gamers / Medical Users
30ms UPS switchover isn't fast enough. Get a certified UPS instead.
Who Should Look Elsewhere
If you need a certified UPS for sensitive electronics, look at Anker SOLIX C1000 (sub-10ms switching). If you need more than 1kWh or expansion, look at EcoFlow Delta 2 Max (2kWh, expandable). If you want silent operation, avoid this unit.
What EcoFlow Got Right
The Delta 3 Plus is the fastest-charging 1kWh power station on the market. The 1-hour AC recharge is genuinely transformative for active users who need to top up quickly between stops.
What Still Needs Work
The fan noise is the biggest compromise. At 45-50dB under load, it's louder than competitors. The lack of certified UPS (30ms switch) and X-Boost's dirty power waveform limit its use for sensitive electronics. And no expansion means you're stuck at 1kWh forever.
The Verdict
If charging speed is your #1 priority and you can tolerate fan noise, the Delta 3 Plus is an excellent choice. It's not for light sleepers, PC gamers, or medical device users. But for van lifers, tailgaters, and active users who need power fast? This is the one.
