First Impressions
The EB3A is Bluetti's entry-level LiFePO4 power station, and it's a tiny powerhouse. At 268Wh with 600W output (1,200W surge), it's designed for day trips, tailgates, and short weekend camping — not home backup. It's small enough to toss in a backpack (10.6 lbs), charges in 1.5-2 hours, and includes features you don't usually find at this size: a 100W USB-C port, wireless charging pad, and app control.
⚡ 600W Output
1,200W surge — runs small appliances.
🔋 268Wh LiFePO4
2,500+ cycles — lasts 5-7 years of heavy use.
⏱️ 1.5-Hour Charge
0-100% in 1.5 hours via AC outlet.
🪶 10.6 lbs
Small enough for day trips and overnighters.
📱 App Control
Monitor and control from your phone.
🔇 Fanless Under 200W
Silent for most use cases.
What We Love
- 268Wh LiFePO4 — 2,500+ cycle lifespan
- 600W output (1,200W surge) — runs mini fridges, TVs, CPAP
- 1.5-hour AC charge — incredibly fast for this size
- 200W solar input — decent for a small unit
- 10.6 lbs — genuinely portable
- 100W USB-C PD port — fast laptop charging
- 15W wireless charging pad on top
- Bluetooth app control — rare in this price class
- Pass-through charging — use while recharging
- Excellent value under $300
The Trade-offs
- 268Wh capacity — only 2-3 laptop charges
- Fan can get loud at full output (around 45dB)
- No USB-C input (can't charge via USB-C)
- Basic LCD display with no backlight
- Not expandable
- Build quality feels plasticky compared to larger Bluetti units
Real-World Usage Notes
The EB3A is nearly silent under 200W. For day trips where you're charging phones, tablets, and cameras, you'll never hear the fan. Push it past 200W — say, running a 400W blender or 500W coffee maker — and the fan spins up to around 45dB. It's noticeable but not loud.
The lack of USB-C input is annoying in 2025. You can charge via AC (fast) or solar (decent), but you can't top up from a USB-C laptop charger. That would have made this the ultimate travel companion.
The wireless charging pad is a nice touch for the price. Drop your phone on top, and it charges at 15W — perfect for overnight charging at a campsite.
Hidden Limitation: No USB-C Input
Unlike the EcoFlow River 3 which supports USB-C charging, the EB3A requires AC or solar. If you want to charge from a laptop power bank or USB-C wall adapter, look elsewhere.

Not Expandable
The EB3A does not support expansion batteries. The capacity you buy is the capacity you get.
AC Fast Charging
The EB3A pulls up to 350W from a wall outlet, hitting 0-100% in just 1.5 hours. That's faster than the EcoFlow River 3 (1 hour but at lower capacity) and much faster than the Jackery Explorer 300 (3-4 hours).
Solar Charging — Adequate
With 200W max solar input, the EB3A recharges in about 2-3 hours of peak sun with a 200W panel. That's good for a unit this size — you can top up in a morning of sun.
Car Charging
Use the included car charging cable to recharge from your vehicle's 12V port (about 3-4 hours for a full charge).
⚠️ No USB-C Input
The EB3A's USB-C port is output only. You cannot charge the EB3A via USB-C. This is a major miss compared to the EcoFlow River 3, which supports USB-C input.
What 600W (and 1,200W Surge) Gets You
The EB3A delivers 600W continuous output with a 1,200W surge rating. Here's what that means in practice:
- ✅ Smartphone (5-10W) — 25-50 charges
- ✅ Laptop (40-60W) — 4-6 full charges
- ✅ Tablet (10-20W) — 13-26 charges
- ✅ Drone batteries — 8-10 charges
- ✅ Mini fridge (50-80W) — 3-5 hours runtime
- ✅ CPAP without humidifier (30-50W) — 5-8 hours
- ✅ 32" LED TV (30-50W) — 5-8 hours
- ✅ Coffee maker (800-1,200W) — surge might work
- ❌ Space heater — not recommended
- ❌ Full-size refrigerator — needs 800W+ startup
Real-World Day Trip Performance
On a two-day camping trip, the EB3A charged two phones (10W each for 3 hours), a tablet (15W for 4 hours), a drone battery (30Wh charge), and a lantern (5W for 6 hours). Total consumption: about 180Wh, leaving 88Wh (33%) remaining. Perfect for overnighters.
🏕️ Day Trippers & Overnighters
Perfect for 1-2 day trips with small electronics. Keeps phones, tablets, cameras, and lanterns charged.
🎒 Backpackers
At 10.6 lbs, it's light enough for short backpacking trips where you need power.
💻 Remote Workers (Short Term)
Keeps a laptop and phone running for a full workday away from outlets.
🏈 Tailgaters
Runs a small TV, phone chargers, and a Bluetooth speaker for game day.
📸 Photographers & Drone Pilots
Charges camera batteries and drone batteries between shoots.
🛏️ CPAP Backup (Basic)
Runs a CPAP without humidifier for 5-8 hours — enough for one night.
Who Should Look Elsewhere
If you need to run a refrigerator, CPAP with humidifier overnight, or any appliance over 800W, skip the EB3A. Look at the Bluetti AC180 (1,800W, 1,152Wh) or EcoFlow Delta 2 (1,800W, 1,024Wh) instead. If you need USB-C charging input, the EcoFlow River 3 supports it.
What Bluetti Got Right
The EB3A is the best small LiFePO4 power station under $300. Fast charging, 600W output, 100W USB-C output, and app control at 10.6 lbs make it incredibly versatile for day trips and overnighters.
What Still Needs Work
The lack of USB-C input is the biggest miss. In 2025, not being able to charge from a laptop power bank is frustrating. The build quality feels plasticky, and the fan can be loud at full output.
The Verdict
For day trippers, overnight campers, tailgaters, and anyone who needs a small, reliable power bank with an AC outlet, the Bluetti EB3A is an excellent choice. Just know that you can't charge it via USB-C — and if that's a dealbreaker, look at the EcoFlow River 3 instead.
